Dense Fog Disrupts Air and Road Traffic in Telugu States

Dense fog enveloped several regions across the Telugu states on Friday, severely disrupting air and road traffic. At Gannavaram Airport, thick fog hindered flight operations, causing delays and diversions. An Indigo flight from Hyderabad to Gannavaram was unable to land due to poor visibility and circled in the air for some time. When conditions failed to improve, the flight was diverted to Rajahmundry.

Heavy fog was reported in Hyderabad, Vijayawada, Visakhapatnam, Tirupati, and other areas, making travel challenging for commuters. On the Hyderabad–Vijayawada National Highway, the impact of the fog was particularly pronounced, reducing visibility to the extent that vehicles were barely discernible even at close range. Drivers were forced to rely on headlights and proceed at reduced speeds to ensure safety.
