Bollywood Celebrities Receive Death Threats from Pakistan, Mumbai Police Investigate
The suspects allegedly issued threats via email, warning the celebrities to respond within eight hours or face severe personal and professional consequences. Following these threats, police have provided security to Kapil Sharma and his team.
Kapil Sharma, known for his comedy shows such as The Great Indian Laughter Challenge and Comedy Nights, is one of India’s leading comedians and has also acted in some films. Rajpal Yadav, another prominent figure in Indian cinema, is known for his comedic roles and was last seen in Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3.
The threatening email sent to Kapil Sharma warned: “We have been monitoring your activities for some time. This is not a public stunt or an attempt to harass you. Take these threats seriously.” The email also contained a specific warning of severe repercussions if the recipient failed to respond within eight hours. The email was signed with the name “Bishnu,” raising suspicions that gangster Bishnoi’s network might be involved.
Mumbai police are continuing their investigation, exploring all possible angles, and coordinating with national authorities to address the cross-border implications of the threats.
