Hyderabad’s NTR Ghat to Undergo Repairs Funded by Nara Lokesh
Nara Lokesh, Andhra Pradesh minister and grandson of the late Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao (NTR), expressed dissatisfaction with the state of maintenance at Hyderabad’s NTR Ghat. Lokesh paid tribute to his grandfather at the memorial on the occasion of NTR’s 29th death anniversary. During his visit, he noticed the deteriorating condition of the memorial and directed his staff to undertake repairs using personal funds.

Lokesh highlighted issues such as peeling walls, a damaged roof, and broken lights in the garden surrounding the ghat. He stressed the urgency of obtaining necessary permissions to commence renovation work promptly. Further, he instructed his team to expedite the repairs without delay, underscoring the importance of restoring the site to its proper state.

Speaking on the matter, Lokesh stated that the family had previously requested the Telangana government to transfer the maintenance responsibilities of NTR Ghat to the NTR Trust. However, no action has been taken in this regard.
