Amarnath opens Randstad, says Vizag emerging as IT hub
Visakhapatnam, October 5: Minister for Industries and Information Technology (IT) Gudivada Amarnath on Monday opened Randstad recruiting firm here. Speaking on the occasion, the minister said that Randstad will play a key role in the development of port city.
“Randstad opening its office in Vizag will give boost to IT sector,” he stated and mentioned that Randstad will recruit 6,000 employees in different phases. “Infosys is planning to start its operations in Visakhapatnam from January next,” he said.
Amarnath further stated that Vizag is emerging as an IT hub in the country as several software companies are showing interest to set up their offices here. “Andhra Pradesh government has been taking measures for the development of IT sector in the state,” he reiterated.
The minister said that the YSRCP government is encouraging work from home and also setting up digital libraries in a big way. Officials and company representatives were present.
