Dhoni to foray into film production, likely to produce a movie with Tamil star Vijay

Hyderabad: Former Team India skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni, who ruled cricket, has now entered film production. Dhoni, who carved a niche in cricket, is now wanted to repeat his magic in films, too. He has gained fans all over the world with his batting and wicketkeeping. It may be recalled that he bade adieu to cricket and entered the construction business. Now it is reported that he is planning to produce films.

Dhoni has already started a company called Dhoni Entertainment. He directed the documentary 'The Roar of the Lion'. Now he is thinking of making full-scale films for this production company. Dhoni represented Chennai in the Indian Premier League (IPL). Hence, he has a good association with Chennai. In this backdrop, it is learnt that he is opening a Dhoni Entertainment office in Chennai. Rumors are doing the rounds in the Kollywood media that Dhoni will produce Kollywood star hero Vijay's 70th film.

Rumors are rife in the media that the full details of this project are likely to be revealed on Diwali. Vijay is currently acting in 'Varasudu' directed by Vamsi Paidipally. Rashmika Mandanna plays the heroine. Dil Raju is producing the film under his banner. After that project, he will be doing films with Lokesh Kanakaraj and Atlee. It is reported that Dhoni will produce Vijay's 70th film.
