Hyd: Diamond jewellery, gold stolen from five-star hotel at Banjara Hills

Hyderabad, October 4: A person by name Ahmed Baig from Mumbai booked a suite room at Park Hyatt, a five-star luxury hotel, in Banjara Hills to stay from September 22. However, he shifted from Park Hyatt to The Park Hotel in Somajiguda on September 24 as management decided to allocate suites to VIPs.
 
Ahmed Baig complained to Panjagutta police that he lost diamond jewellery and gold ornaments on September 25. In the complaint, he said that 10.36 grams of diamond bracelet, 35 diamonds, diamond ring weighing 3.61 grams, 5.18 grams of gold mangalsutra, and gold earrings were stolen.
 
Central Crime Station (CCS) of Panjagutta registered a case. It is not clear as to whether the booty was stolen at Park Hyatt or Park Hotel in Somajiguda. The CCS police are probing the case from all angles as theft took place in highly secured hotels with security personnel round-the-clock and CCTV cameras.
