Sports Minister Srinivas Goud embroiled in a row after firing in air with a gun

Hyderabad/Mahbubnagar: Minister for Sports V Srinivas Goud was embroiled in a controversy. In the freedom rally taken out in Mahbubnagar, he fired in the air in the middle of the crowd. The video of him taking the gun from the police and shooting in the air went viral on social media. On the other hand, officials are also criticised for not stopping him.

However, Minister Srinivas Goud reacted to the incident by firing in the air with an SLR weapon. He gave a statement that he shot a rubber bullet. “I am a member of the All India Rifle Association. I have the qualification as the Sports Minister. But, they are spreading false propaganda against me.”

District SP knows the correct information about the incident. “I shot in the air only after the SP gave the weapon to me. A rubber bullet is fired in the air to kick start the rally as a formality. I will resign if anyone proved that I shot a real bullet.” He responded strongly to political and social media criticism.
