Jayasudha cries foul over ill-treatment in T'wood; their dogs also get special rooms

Hyderabad: Jayasudha entered the film industry at the age of fifteen and was recognised as 'Sahajanati'. She completed 50 years in the industry. For these 50 years, she played various roles in the heyday of her career and left an indelible mark on the minds of the Telugu audience.

But, for the past few years, she has been away from the silver screen. After Superstar Mahesh Babu's 'Maharshi' and Balakrishna's 'Ruler', Jayasudha is not seen in many films. Recently, she appeared on a YouTube channel in an interview after completing 50 years in the cinema.

On the occasion, she made sensational comments that there is discrimination between heroes and heroines in Tollywood. She said that Telugu heroines are especially looked down upon, while any hero and heroine from Bollywood is given a lot of importance.

She said that even she, who is a star heroine, was insulted here. She said that she has completed 50 years as an actress, and for completing these years, in Bollywood, they would have sent at least a bouquet. But, unfortunately, that culture does not exist here, she criticised. “Big heroes, who are very successful, are treated well while discrimination is shown towards small heroes.

The heroines here are looked down upon. She made shocking comments saying that for heroes and heroines, who come from Mumbai, their puppies are also given a special room. When asked did heroes also behave in the same manner, she said that those who are next to them do more.

She further stated that if the big hero can't do the dance properly, the director comes to the heroines and says, “You are not doing the moments properly.” Only Bollywood heroines are eligible for Padma Shri...Telugu heroines are not eligible? She questioned.  Jayasudha's comments have now become a hot topic of discussion in film circle.
