Hyd: Topped in academics but failed in life writes IIIT Gwalior student before suicide

Hyderabad, July 21: Deena, an IIIT Gwalior student, committed suicide by jumping from fifth floor of his apartment at Kranti Nagar Colony under the Saidabad police station limits here on Thursday. According to police, he was running a YouTube channel called ‘seLFlo’ for online game lovers. In the last two years, Deena uploaded 710 videos and attracted 28,000 subscribers.
 
The 23-year-old revealed his identity to subscribers in the last video uploaded eight hours ago and thanked them for extending their support to his YouTube channel. In the same video, he included a three-page suicide note explaining the reasons as to why he wanted to end life. Deena mentioned that he topped in academics but failed in life.
 
The police registered a case and shifted the body to government hospital for post-mortem. Investigation is on to find whether Deena depressed because of family issues or for not getting expected views to his YouTube videos.
