Vijayawada: Indebted to YSR for giving political career, says Konda Surekha
Vijayawada: Former minister and Telangana Congress leader on Monday visited Vijayawada to promote upcoming biopic movie ‘Konda’ directed by Tollywood director Ram Gopal Varma. The biopic is based on the lives of Surekha and her husband Konda Murali.
Surekha garlanded the statue of former chief minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy at YSR Circle here. Talking to reporters, she expressed optimism of Telugu people will like biopic flick. “I and Konda Murali are always indebted to YSR for giving us political career,” she thanked and said that they will not forget him till they are alive.
The Congress leader stated that money and power have more importance than values in present day politics. “People are against the BJP at Centre and not happy with the TRS rule in Telangana,’ she mentioned.
Surekha said she is confident of the Congress coming to power once again in Telangana. “I will contest from Warangal East constituency in next elections,” she added.
