I was branded as 'NTR man', says SC CJI NV Ramana; will write a book on him

Hyderabad: Supreme Court Chief Justice Justice NV Ramana on Thursday made interesting comments on TDP founder Nandamuri Tarakarama Rao (NTR). He commented that he was branded as an NTR man and that he was proud of it. He made these statements while attending a function in Tirupati on Thursday to mark the NTR centenary celebrations. On the occasion, Justice Ramana announced that he would write a book on NTR after his retirement.

He recalled his association with NTR and said that NTR has a strong connection with Tirupati. He pointed out that NTR grew up as a farmer’s child, later, a stage actor, a hero, and finally, a political leader. He commented that NTR was very much aware of the pulse of people. Hence, he came to power within nine months of founding the party. Therefore, he described him as an able leader, 

Justice NV Ramana said he had been a fan of NTR since he was a student. He said that he had indirectly served the NTR in the 1983 elections. He said no one came forward to argue on behalf of NTR during the crisis and no one was there with NTR after he lost power, he reminded. He said that NTR had taken him with him while travelling to Delhi and there that he had given him medicines.
