Google signs MoU with Telangana govt for setting up its largest campus outside USA

Hyderabad, April 28: Tech giant Google on Thursday signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Telangana government for setting up its largest campus outside the USA. Google India Country Head & Vice President Sanjay Gupta and Telangana Principal Secretary (IT) Jayesh Ranjan have exchanged the MoU in the presence of Minister for IT and Industries K. Taraka Rama Rao.
On the occasion, KTR stated that the Telangana government has been using technologies of Google in providing services to common people.
 
The Google campus is coming up in an area of 7.3 acres here. The 3.3 million square feet energy efficient building will be built keeping environmental sustainability in mind. The pact will accelerate Google’s “vision of leveraging technology for sustainable economic development and inclusive social development.”
 
The other activities to be provided by Google are career certificate scholarships to meritorious underserved youth, extending support to women entrepreneurs by upgrading their financial, business and digital skills through training and imparting education through digital platform for students of government schools.
