KTR calls for protest against Centre, slams for refusing to procure food grains from Telangana

The TRS decided to launch an all-out stir against the Central government with a demand to procure food grains produced in summer. Minister K Taraka Rama Rao (KTR) gave a call to party cadre to organise protests in five phases. In the first phase, the TRS leaders and workers would organise deekshas in all mandal headquarters on Monday.
 
KTR has stated that his party decided to launch five-pronged protest to exert pressure on the Modi government for protecting interests of Telangana farmers. On Wednesday (April 6), the TRS activists will hold ‘rasta roko’ on national highways and farmers would join with party cadre for staging protests at district headquarters on April 7. Followed by, hoisting black flags by farmers in all panchayats on April 8 and TRS MPs raising the issue in both houses of the Parliament on April 11.
