I owe a lot to the Tollywood, says Pradeep Rawat

Many of the villains in Tollywood are from other states. They include Raghuvaran, Mukhesh Rushi, Nazar, Sayaji Shinde, Prakash Raj, Asish Vidyarthi, Sonu Sood, Avinash, Rahul Dev, Kishore, Kalabhavan Mani, Pradeep Rawat and others. Among these, Rajamouli had brought Pradeep Rawat to the Telugu film industry. He attracted the audiences with his performance in Sye and Chatrapati.

Pradeep Rawat treats Rajamouli as his Godfather. Earlier, he played the role of a player in a cricket team led by Amir Khan in ‘Lagaan’ and earned good name across the country. After noticing him in that movie, Rajamouli gave him a villain’s role in his film Sye. He played several characters in many movies and also in TV serials but he was paid very meagre amount and some of them even did not pay for the roles. Pradeep Rawat also played in the epic serial Mahabharat as well. Speaking to the media, he said that the south Indian film industry people will honour the artistes well. I owe lot to the Telugu film industry. In Bollywood there will be class racism, but not in the south Indian film industry.
