Telugu Desam Party leaders paid rich tributes to senior party leader and former MP Laljan Basha on his death anniversary. A special programme was held on Saturday at NTR Bhavan, the TDP central office in Mangalagiri.
TDP Andhra Pradesh president Palla Srinivasa Rao, Politburo member Varla Ramaiah and other senior leaders garlanded a portrait of Laljan Basha and paid homage to him. The leaders also observed a two-minute silence in remembrance of his services.
“Laljan Basha was a great leader who remained committed to the principles of the Telugu Desam Party and worked tirelessly to strengthen the party,” said Palla Srinivasa Rao.
“Laljan Basha’s life is an example of how the Telugu Desam Party provides everyone with an opportunity to rise from the level of an ordinary party worker to high positions. The Telugu Desam Party will always stand by every worker who works hard for the party and accord them due respect,” Palla Srinivasa Rao said.
“The commitment, discipline and public-service outlook demonstrated by Laljan Basha are an example for today’s generation of leaders and young people. Carrying forward Laljan Basha’s ideals and providing better services to the people would be the true tribute we can pay to him,” Palla Srinivasa Rao said.
“The Telugu Desam Party will never forget those who have worked with dedication for the party,” Palla Srinivasa Rao added.
Legislative Council Whip Vepada Chiranjeevi, former MLC Parchuri Ashok Babu, AP Haj Committee Chairman Hasan Basha, Srisailam Board member A.V.
