CM Revanth Reddy Recalls Seeking Ramoji Rao's Help for Ministry
Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy on Sunday shared a candid anecdote about seeking the late media baron Ramoji Rao’s influence for a ministerial post in 2009, drawing smiles from Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, who was also present at the event.

Speaking at the Ramoji Excellence Awards ceremony, Revanth Reddy recalled how he and three friends met Rao after the 2009 assembly elections, hoping he would recommend them for cabinet positions. However, Ramoji Rao, sensing their motive, preemptively offered them advice.

"He told us, 'I have never recommended anyone to Chandrababu Naidu for a ministry'," Revanth Reddy recounted. "He said, 'If you do good work, you will find a place in my newspaper. If you do wrong, you will be on the front page. The choice is yours'."

Praising Ramoji Rao's integrity and vision, the Chief Minister described him as a "brand" who excelled in every venture, from media to food products. He hailed Ramoji Film City as the "fourth wonder" of Hyderabad and pledged the full support of the Telangana government to all Ramoji Group institutions, stating they are a matter of pride for the state.

Revanth Reddy also assured that his government is committed to promoting the Telugu language in official communications, responding to suggestions from dignitaries like former Vice President M. Venkaiah Naidu.
