Miss England 2025 Withdraws from Pageant; Miss World Organization Responds
Millie-Mai Maggie, who was set to represent England in the 72nd Miss World pageant being held in India, has withdrawn from the competition. In response to reports circulating about the nature of her withdrawal, the Miss World Organization has issued an official statement refuting the misinformation and allegations being shared in certain media outlets.
Julia Morley, Chairperson and CEO of the Miss World Organization, stated that Millie-Mai Maggie had requested to withdraw from the pageant earlier this month due to a critical family emergency concerning her mother and other relatives. “We understood Millie’s situation. The well-being of her family was our top priority. Therefore, we immediately arranged for her return to England,” Julia Morley explained.
Following Millie-Mai Maggie's departure, the first runner-up in the Miss England competition, Charlotte Grant, stepped in to represent England. The organization confirmed that Miss Charlotte Grant has arrived in India and has been warmly welcomed by the Miss World family. She is now actively participating in the ongoing events of the pageant.
Julia Morley expressed concern over misleading narratives published by some UK media organizations regarding Millie-Mai Maggie's experience at the pageant. She dismissed the reports as entirely baseless and untrue.
To clarify the situation, the Miss World Organization released unedited video clips showing Millie-Mai Maggie speaking positively and gratefully about her experience at the event. According to Julia Morley, the videos clearly depict her expressing joy and appreciation, contradicting the negative claims being made in the media.
“We categorically reject the allegations made and the false portrayal of events. The reports being circulated are completely unfounded,” Julia Morley asserted.
