Horrific Road Accident in Palnadu District Claims Four Lives
A tragic road accident occurred this morning in Palnadu district, resulting in the death of four individuals and leaving several others injured. The collision took place near Shivapuram in Vinukonda mandal when a Bolero vehicle was struck by an oncoming lorry. The Bolero, which was transporting papaya fruits, was hit with great force by the lorry coming from the opposite direction.
According to reports, three people died on the spot due to the impact. One more critically injured person succumbed to injuries while being transported to the hospital. The police identified all the deceased as agricultural labourers from Gaddamidapalli village, located in Yerragondapalem mandal of Prakasam district. The victims were reportedly travelling for work when the accident occurred. The incident has cast a pall of gloom over Gaddamidapalli village.
Upon receiving information about the accident, local police arrived at the scene and initiated rescue operations. The injured were immediately taken to nearby hospitals and are currently receiving medical treatment. A case has been registered, and an investigation into the cause of the accident is underway.
State Minister Nara Lokesh expressed deep shock over the accident in Palnadu district. He conveyed heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families and directed officials to ensure the injured receive the best possible medical care. He assured that the government would extend full support and assistance to the affected families.
