Operation Sindoor: U.S. Issues Advisory to Its Citizens in Pakistan
Following heightened tensions in Pakistan after India launched "Operation Sindoor," the United States government has issued a critical advisory to its citizens residing in Pakistan. The U.S. Embassy in Pakistan released a statement warning American nationals against traveling to areas near the Line of Control (LoC), citing the potential for clashes between armed forces.
U.S. officials stated that they are closely monitoring the evolving situation in Pakistan, including developments such as the closure of airspace between the two countries. The advisory urged residents living near affected regions to relocate immediately to safer areas. It also advised individuals planning to visit disputed regions to cancel their travel plans.
Responding to the Indian strikes on terrorist camps in Pakistan under "Operation Sindoor," U.S. President Donald Trump expressed his views. "No one wants a war between two powerful nations. India and Pakistan have rich histories and, despite tensions between them, the world desires only peace. No more conflicts," said Donald Trump.
Meanwhile, the Indian Embassy in the United States provided clarification regarding the strikes. A spokesperson stated, "India conducted the strikes on terrorist bases in Pakistan based on credible witness accounts and technical intelligence. There is clear evidence supporting this. These operations did not target civilian areas, economic resources, or military installations—only terrorist camps were attacked."
In light of these developments, officials disclosed that the Pakistani government has issued summons to the Indian High Commissioner following the launch of "Operation Sindoor."
