PM Modi Hails Chandrababu Naidu’s Leadership in Project Execution
Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited Andhra Pradesh to inaugurate the redevelopment works of the state's capital city, Amaravati. Addressing the event virtually, Narendra Modi commenced his speech in Telugu, stating, “It is a pleasure to meet all of you in this sacred land where Goddess Durga resides.”

He extended his greetings to Governor Abdul Nazir, his friend Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, Deputy Chief Minister and powerful leader Pawan Kalyan.

“I now stand on the sacred soil of Amaravati. What I see is not merely a city but the realization of a dream. A new Amaravati and a new Andhra Pradesh are becoming a reality. Today, we performed the foundation laying and inauguration ceremonies for projects worth approximately ₹60,000 crore. These are not just concrete structures—they are the strong foundations for the hopes of Andhra Pradesh and the aspirations of Viksit Bharat. I bow to Lord Veerabhadraswamy, Lord Amaralingeswara, and Lord Venkateswara of Tirupati, and convey my heartfelt wishes to the people of Andhra Pradesh,” said Narendra Modi.

He further added, “Amaravati was once the capital of Indra’s realm—today it is the capital of Andhra Pradesh, a symbol of golden Andhra. Amaravati is not just a city—it is a force. It is the power that will transform Andhra Pradesh into a modern and advanced state. Amaravati will become the hub for all sectors, including IT and AI. It will shine as a center for green energy, clean industries, education, and healthcare. The central government will extend full support in providing infrastructure in Amaravati.”

Referring to the role of N. Chandrababu Naidu, Narendra Modi stated, “Chandrababu praised me, saying that technology began with me. But when I became the Chief Minister of Gujarat, I studied how Hyderabad developed in terms of IT. I sent officials there to study the growth. Whether it is taking up massive projects or completing them quickly, only Chandrababu can accomplish that. No other leader in the country surpasses Chandrababu Naidu when it comes to completing major projects.”

Narendra Modi recalled laying the foundation stone for Amaravati as a people's capital in 2015. “Over the past ten years, the central government has consistently supported Amaravati. It has extended cooperation in all possible ways for its development and will continue to do so. The center will support all types of constructions in Amaravati.”

He emphasized that legendary leader N. T. Rama Rao once dreamed of a developed Andhra Pradesh, and now all must unite to realize those dreams. “For Viksit Bharat, Andhra Pradesh should emerge as a growth engine. Chandrababu garu, Pawan Kalyan garu—this is something we must do together. It is our responsibility.”

Narendra Modi concluded by highlighting the progress in connectivity across Andhra Pradesh. “A new chapter in connectivity is beginning in the state. The Naidupeta-Renigunta highway is an example. Those traveling to visit Lord Venkateswara in Tirupati will now have a faster and more convenient route. The central government is extending financial assistance worth thousands of crores for rail and road projects in Andhra Pradesh.”
