UPSC 2024: Final Results Declared, Telugu Candidates Among Top Rankers

The final results of the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) Civil Services Examination (CSE) 2024, eagerly awaited by lakhs of aspirants across the country, have been officially released. On Tuesday, the UPSC issued a formal announcement declaring the names of selected candidates. A total of 1,009 candidates have been selected this year. Among them, 335 candidates are from the General category, 109 from the Economically Weaker Sections (EWS), 318 from the Other Backward Classes (OBC), 160 from the Scheduled Castes (SC), and 87 from the Scheduled Tribes (ST).

The selected candidates will be appointed to over 1,000 posts across more than 25 services, including the Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Police Service (IPS), and Indian Forest Service (IFS), under various departments of the Central Government.

The selection process began with the Preliminary examination held on June 16, 2024. The results of this stage were declared on July 1. The Main examinations were conducted from September 20 to 29, and their results were announced in December. A total of 2,845 candidates qualified for the final stage of the selection process — the interview — which was conducted in two sessions in New Delhi between January 7 and April 17, 2025. The final results were declared following the completion of this process.

Several students from the Telugu-speaking states have excelled in these results. Sai Shivani made a mark by securing the 11th rank. Banna Venkatesh secured the 15th rank, followed by Abhishek Sharma at 38th, Ravula Jayasimha Reddy at 46th, Shravan Kumar Reddy at 62nd, Sai Chaitanya Jadhav at 68th, N. Chetana Reddy at 110th, and Chennam Reddy Shivganesh Reddy at 119th rank.

UPSC has also announced the national Top-10 rank holders. The list includes Shakti Dubey, Harshita Goel, Dongre Archit Parag, Shah Margi Chirag, Akash Garg, Komal Poonia, Ayushi Bansal, Rajkrishna Jha, Aditya Vikram Agarwal, and Mayank Tripathi.
