Talks fail, TSRTC employees to go on strike from April 16

Hyderabad, April 2: The TSRTC employees' unions have decided to go on strike from April 16 in Telangana after their talks with the RTC management failed over salary hike. The RTC employees had gone on a flash strike today demanding a 42 per cent increment in their salaries a speedy division of the RTC similar to the other government departments of AP and Telangana. Hundreds of agitating RTC employees, including bus drivers and conductors, surrounded the Bus Bhavan near RTC X Roads in Hyderabad and raised slogans against the delay in giving them pay hike and dividing the RTC into two units. Following unsuccessful meetings over the issues with the RTC Management, all the trade unions and employee associations served a strike notice to the management. The trade unions decided to go on a strike from April 16, if the management fails to fufil their demands by then.
