Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy Launches Bhu Bharati Portal

Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy launched the 'Bhu Bharati' portal at a ceremony held at Shilpakala Vedika in Hyderabad. Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka and several other ministers were also present at the event.

The Bhu Bharati portal will initially be implemented on a pilot basis in three mandals. The Telangana state government plans to roll out the portal across the entire state by June 2. During the pilot phase, public feedback and suggestions will be collected, and modifications will be made if necessary. Based on public response, the portal will be continuously updated.

Following the launch, Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy stated that the Dharani portal introduced by the previous Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) government was not beneficial to farmers. He said that this was the reason it had been set aside. He alleged that the Dharani portal was designed to benefit landlords and influential individuals.

The minister claimed that the irregularities associated with the Dharani portal were reflected in the outcome of the recent Assembly elections. He stated that the Bhu Bharati portal was introduced in line with the government’s promise to deliver a system that benefits the public. He further noted that administrative powers held by district collectors have been decentralized. He added that land laws from various states were studied to draft the best possible legislation.
