TS rules out revoking tax on AP vehicles, says state needs the money

Hyderabad, March 31, 2015: Even as the tourist operators of AP have decided to halt their bus services to Hyderabad from tomorrow and stopped reservations across the state opposing TS tax on their vehicles, Telangana government has made it clear that there is no question of withdrawing its decision to tax AP vehicles entering into Telangana soil. "We have taken the decision to tax AP vehicles entering into our state as per court directions. We are here to implement the concerned GO No.43. There is no question of revoking it, " Telangana Transport Minister Mahender Reddy told a press meet here this evening in response to appeals made by AP Transport minister Siddha Raghava Rao and private bus operators. "This taxing is a must for the development of Telangana state. We have already suffered heavy losses with single line tax system," he remarked, ruling out revoking the decision. The AP Government and bus operators should understand the situation, he added.
