Police Issue Lookout Notice for Kakani Govardhan Reddy in Illegal Mining Case

A case has been registered against former minister and YSR Congress Party leader Kakani Govardhan Reddy in connection with illegal quartz mining, unauthorized transportation, and the large-scale use of explosive materials. According to the police, they are investigating allegations that quartz and felspar worth over ₹250 crore were illegally exported to foreign countries.

Despite being served with three separate notices by the police to appear for questioning, Kakani Govardhan Reddy failed to comply. His anticipatory bail petition was dismissed by the Andhra Pradesh High Court. Furthermore, his petition to quash the case has been adjourned for two weeks.

His current whereabouts are unknown. Along with Kakani Govardhan Reddy, four other accused individuals are also absconding. Police are conducting intensive searches in Hyderabad, Bengaluru, and Chennai to trace them.

As part of the ongoing investigation, police have issued a lookout notice to prevent Kakani Govardhan Reddy from leaving the country. Information regarding the lookout has been shared with all airports and seaports across India.
