President hails Srikanth for India Open win

New Delhi, March 30 : President Pranab Mukherjee on Monday congratulated shuttler Kidambi Srikanth for winning the India Open Superseries men's singles title here on Sunday. The World No.4 defeated Danish Viktor Axelsen 18-21, 21-13, 21-12 in 55 minutes in the final at the Siri Fort Sports Complex. "Please accept my hearty congratulations and best wishes on your winning the Men's Singles title in the India Open Super Series badminton tournament," the president said in a message. "Your success is a matter of great joy and pride for all Indians. My best wishes are with you for even greater success in the future."
