AP Govt has no money to pay March salaries

Hyderabad, March 30, 2015: The cash-starved AP Government is looking for financial help from the Centre to pay March salaries for its employees. The Government is expecting Centre to release Rs. 2500 Cr today or tomorrow towards payment of salaries and pensions for March. If there is no response from the Centre, the government will be forced to apply for overdraft again. AP Government, which is surviving on overdraft since March 21,has already utilised a overdraft of more than Rs.3000 Cr so far and if the Centre forces it to go for another overdraft for payment of salaries, another Rs.3000 Cr will add taking the overall overdraft to Rs.6000 Cr.
