Gujarat Titans Beat Sunrisers by 7 Wickets in Hyderabad

The Sunrisers Hyderabad’s string of defeats continued in the 2025 Indian Premier League (IPL) as they suffered their fourth consecutive loss, this time against the Gujarat Titans. The match, held at the Uppal Stadium in Hyderabad, saw the Sunrisers lose by 7 wickets.

Losing the toss and batting first, Sunrisers Hyderabad managed to post 152 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in their allotted 20 overs. In response, Gujarat Titans chased down the target of 153 runs comfortably, finishing at 153 for 3 in 16.4 overs, with 20 balls to spare.

Captain Shubman Gill led from the front with an unbeaten half-century, scoring 61 runs off 43 balls, including 9 boundaries. Despite early setbacks with opener Sai Sudharsan dismissed for 5 and Jos Buttler out for a duck, Gill built a crucial 90-run partnership for the third wicket with Washington Sundar.

Even after Washington Sundar was dismissed, Shubman Gill, in the company of Sherfane Rutherford, guided the team to victory. Rutherford contributed a quick 35 runs from 16 deliveries, hitting 6 fours and 1 six.

Among the bowlers for Sunrisers Hyderabad, Mohammed Shami took 2 wickets, while captain Pat Cummins claimed 1 wicket.
