Young MLA Akhila Priya calls TDP Govt 'Robbing Hood'

Hyderabad, March 25, 2015: Taking potshots at the TDP Government for its decision for hiking the VAT over petrol and diesel, Allagadda YSRCP MLA Bhuma Akhila Priya on Thursday described the TDP Government as Robbing Hood. Citing the legendary story of Robin Hood, the young MLA said:"Robin Hood used to rob the rich and help the poor. In reverse, you are robbing the poor and helping the rich." While the YSRCP MLAs cheered her for her comment, TDP members were shocked to hear her. She further said it is not correct for the government to burden the people with hiking the VAT on petrol and diesel at a time when the prices have decreased in all states.
