Pakistan Records Its Lowest T20 Score in a Crushing Defeat Against New Zealand

Pakistan registered its lowest-ever total in T20 cricket after a dismal performance against New Zealand in the first match of the five-match T20 series in Christchurch. The team, led by Salman Ali Agha, was bowled out for just 91 runs in 18.4 overs, marking its worst batting collapse in T20 history.

Opting to bat first, Pakistan struggled from the start, with only Khushdil Shah managing a notable contribution of 32 runs. Two players were dismissed for a duck, while six others failed to reach double digits. This was the first time Pakistan had been bowled out for under 100 runs in a T20 match. Previously, their lowest total was 101 runs, recorded against New Zealand in Wellington in January 2016.

In response, New Zealand made a strong start in their chase of the modest 92-run target. By the end of the ninth over, the team had reached 76 runs for the loss of one wicket. Tim Seifert top-scored with 44 runs before getting out, while Finn Allen (17*) and Tim Robinson (15*) remained at the crease, steering their team toward a comfortable victory.
