Rashmika Mandanna Faces Backlash for Missing Karnataka Film Festival
Karnataka Congress leaders have strongly criticized actress Rashmika Mandanna for not attending the International Film Festival, despite being invited. MLA Ravi Kumar Gowda alleged that Rashmika is neglecting the Kannada language and industry, expressing his anger over her absence. He also questioned why she identifies herself with Hyderabad rather than Karnataka.

Ravi Kumar Gowda stated, "Rashmika Mandanna began her film career in Karnataka with the Kannada movie 'Kirik Party.' We invited her multiple times last year to attend the International Film Festival, but she refused. She claimed she didn’t have time to come to Karnataka, saying her home is in Hyderabad, as if Karnataka is unknown to her. She is showing disrespect toward the Kannada language and film industry. She must be taught a lesson."

Meanwhile, Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar also expressed his displeasure over actors skipping the International Film Festival, which is being held in Bengaluru. He urged the film industry to unite and actively participate in key state events.

D.K. Shivakumar questioned the purpose of hosting the International Film Festival if actors refuse to attend, emphasizing that the government supports the film industry, and actors should acknowledge that. He further warned that if actors continue to ignore such events, he knows how to set things right.
