Kiran Bedi to Chiranjeevi: Daughters Are Equally Heirs

Former IPS officer Kiran Bedi has responded to recent remarks made by veteran actor Chiranjeevi regarding lineage and inheritance. Chiranjeevi had previously stated that he wished for his son, actor Ram Charan, to have a son of his own to continue their family legacy. During the pre-release event of the film Brahma Anandam, he shared that he often urges Charan to have a son but also expressed concern over the possibility of having another daughter.

Chiranjeevi’s comments sparked controversy, with several individuals criticizing his viewpoint. Among those who addressed the issue was Kiran Bedi, who took to the social media platform 'X' (formerly Twitter) to offer her perspective.

"Chiranjeevi Garu… please start believing and acknowledging that daughters are also heirs. It all depends on how you raise them and how they develop. Learn from parents who have nurtured their daughters and helped them carve their own identity. If daughters are given the right support, they make their families proud. Many have already proven this. Girls are in no way lesser," Kiran Bedi tweeted.
