TTD Implements Heat Relief Measures for Summer Pilgrims in Tirumala
Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) is implementing precautionary measures to ensure the comfort of devotees during the summer season, anticipating an increase in pilgrim footfall due to summer vacations. TTD Additional Executive Officer C.H. Venkataiah Chowdary has directed officials to apply "cool paint" in high-traffic areas to help mitigate the effects of the heat.
On Friday, Venkataiah Chowdary conducted a review meeting at Annamayya Bhavan in Tirumala, discussing necessary measures for managing the expected influx of devotees. He instructed officials to apply cool paint in key areas such as Akkagarla Temple on the First Ghat Road, Sri Vari Sadan, and other crowded locations in Tirumala.
Additionally, he emphasized the importance of ensuring uninterrupted electricity supply to prevent inconvenience to pilgrims. He also directed officials to maintain an adequate stock of laddu prasadam and advised medical personnel to keep sufficient Oral Rehydration Solution (ORS) packets available for devotees.
To address potential water shortages during summer, engineering officials were instructed to take necessary steps to ensure a continuous water supply across all areas where devotees congregate.
The meeting was attended by Deputy Executive Officers Lokanatham, Rajendra, and Bhaskar, along with Transport General Manager Seshareddy and Vigilance Officers Ram Kumar and Surendra, among others.
