Mumbai: TCS Recruiting Manager Ends Life, Cites Wife’s Alleged Torture

Mumbai: A young man, Manav Sharma, working as a recruiting manager at the prominent IT firm Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), has died by suicide. Before taking the drastic step, he recorded a selfie video detailing the reasons behind his decision, stating that he could no longer endure the alleged harassment by his wife.
Manav Sharma, a native of Agra, Uttar Pradesh, was married a year ago. In his video message, he became emotional, saying that he was unable to cope with the daily mental distress inflicted upon him by his wife. He urged society to acknowledge the suffering of men as well and called for specific laws to protect those facing similar abuse. Sharma appealed for someone to raise their voice on behalf of men who are subjected to mistreatment.
In his final message, Sharma apologized to his parents before ending his life by hanging himself from a ceiling fan. The incident reportedly took place on February 24, but it came to light only today. His selfie video has since gone viral on social media.
