Pawan Kalyan Slams YSRCP for Disrupting Governor’s Address in Assembly
Deputy Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, Pawan Kalyan, strongly criticized the behavior of YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) members during the Governor’s address on the opening day of the Andhra Pradesh Assembly budget session. The Assembly held discussions on the motion thanking the Governor for his address.
Speaking on the occasion, Pawan Kalyan condemned the YSRCP leaders' conduct, stating, "While the honorable Governor was delivering his address, YSRCP members behaved disgracefully." Expressing his astonishment, he added, "After witnessing recent incident, I wondered how N. Chandrababu Naidu managed to withstand such leaders for so many years."
He further praised the Chief Minister, saying, "Hats off to Chandrababu Garu. Facing such individuals requires immense courage and resilience. The YSRCP leaders who caused chaos in the Assembly—would they have dared to look into the Governor’s eyes when he was serving as a Supreme Court judge? How can those responsible for making laws be the ones violating them?"
Pawan Kalyan alleged that YSRCP members behaved as though rules did not apply to them and claimed that the people were closely observing their actions. "The people have entrusted us with this immense responsibility because they could no longer tolerate the anarchy, violence, and disturbances caused by the previous YSRCP administration over the last five years. We are bringing about fundamental changes in governance. I thank the Governor for guiding the government through his speech," he stated.
Reflecting on past challenges, he remarked, "Despite all the hardships imposed by the previous YSRCP government, we stood strong, driven by our commitment to public welfare."
Pawan Kalyan also acknowledged Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu’s direction regarding decorum in the Assembly. "In this first Assembly session after the 2024 elections, the Chief Minister instructed everyone to accord YSRCP members the due respect. We are conducting ourselves with that responsibility. Even in the future, we will uphold the spirit of democracy and maintain decorum in the House," he affirmed.
Concluding his speech, he extended an apology on behalf of the government, stating, "If the Governor was troubled by the ruckus created by YSRCP in the Assembly yesterday, I sincerely apologize to him on behalf of the government."
