Bollywood Music Director’s Office Robbed of ₹40 Lakh; Accused Arrested

Mumbai Police have arrested the suspect in a theft case involving the office of renowned Bollywood music director Pritam Chakraborty. Authorities recovered ₹34 lakh in cash from the accused.

According to Pritam Chakraborty’s complaint, ₹40 lakh was stolen from his office. He alleged that his office boy, Ashish Sayal, fled with a bag containing the cash after being asked to bring some items from home. Treating the case with urgency, Mumbai Police examined nearly 200 CCTV cameras as part of their investigation. Officials stated that Sayal, who had been absconding with the stolen money, was apprehended in Jammu and Kashmir.

Police officials briefed the media, revealing that after committing the theft, Sayal took a flight from Mumbai to Amritsar and then traveled to Kashmir by bus. Using advanced technological methods, investigators tracked his location and arrested him in Samba district, Jammu and Kashmir, recovering the stolen amount.
