Rising GBS Cases in Andhra Pradesh: Minister Balaveeranjaneya Swamy Addresses Public Concerns
A woman from Alasandapalli village in Prakasam district has died due to Guillain-Barré Syndrome (GBS) while undergoing treatment on a ventilator at Guntur Government Hospital. The rising number of GBS cases in Andhra Pradesh has led to growing public concern.

In response to the situation, Minister Dola Balaveeranjaneya Swamy urged people not to panic, clarifying that GBS is not a contagious disease. He assured that necessary medications for treating the syndrome are available in all hospitals. He also advised that anyone exhibiting symptoms of GBS should seek medical attention promptly.

The minister further stated that Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has already conducted a review on the issue, emphasizing that public health remains the government's top priority. He stressed the importance of dispelling misconceptions about GBS among the public.
