Hyderabad-Vijayawada EV Buses Launched; Tickets Priced at Just ₹99

Hyderabad to Vijayawada travelers have received welcome news with the introduction of electric vehicle (EV) buses on this route. FlixBus India, in collaboration with ETO Motors, has launched these buses, offering an initial promotional fare of just ₹99. Telangana Transport Minister Ponnam Prabhakar inaugurated the service yesterday at a ceremony held at ITC Kakatiya Hotel in Begumpet, Hyderabad.

Speaking at the event, ETO Motors CMO Y.S. Rajeev and FlixBus India MD Surya Khurana announced that the EV bus services between Hyderabad and Vijayawada will commence in three to four weeks. They further stated that services on the Vijayawada-Visakhapatnam route will also be introduced soon.

For the first four weeks after the service launch, passengers can travel from Hyderabad to Vijayawada for just ₹99. The officials highlighted that all government schemes and concessions applicable to public transport would also be valid for these buses. The journey is expected to take approximately five hours, and each bus can accommodate 49 passengers. Plans are also in place to introduce sleeper coach buses in the near future.

Minister Ponnam Prabhakar emphasized that the Telangana government is actively promoting the adoption of electric vehicles.
