TS assembly adopts resolution asking Centre to constitute HC

Hyderabad, March 18, 2015: Telangana assembly on Wednesday passed a resolution unanimously asking the Centre to divide the High Court of Judicature at Hyderabad into two High Courts for Andhra Pradesh and Telangana as per the AP Bifurcation Act and Constitution of India. The resolution was introduced by Chief Minister K.Chandrasekhara Rao and supported by members of all parties. The resolution was adopted unanimously. Union Law Minister Sadananda Gowda had announced during his recent visit to Hyderabad that Centre would initiate steps for forming separate High Court for TS after receiving a formal proposal in this regard from the Government.
