Bengaluru, March 18 , 2015: A leading NGO activist and whistle blower of Bengaluru has disclosed that IAS officer DK Ravi , who died in suspicious circumstances, had planned raids on top real estate developers who have avoided taxes to the Government. The activist, Ganesh S.Koundini, told a news agency that the officer had contacted him four days ago and asked him to give him the available documentary material to conduct raids on big real estate developers to recover evaded taxes. "The officer, who collected a whopping Rs. 400 Cr from housing societies after he took over as Additional Commissioner of Commercial Taxes ( Enforcement ) last October, had suggested that both of us work together to find tax evasion and take action against them, " Ganesh has revealed. He said he thought of meeting the officer today or tomorrow but unfortunately this thing had happened. He found fault with Government for declaring in the assembly the death as suicide without even launching the probe into the suspicious death.
