Cinematic Passion Began in Childhood: Dil Raju
On this occasion, Dil Raju recalled his childhood days in Nizamabad, saying, “Thinking about Nizamabad takes me back to my childhood. During the 1980s, my brother Sirish and I used to cycle to watch movies at theaters like Picture Palace, Vijay Theatre, Lalitha Mahal, Rajarajendra Theatre, and Nataraj Theatre. Tickets cost just a rupee or four annas back then. We never imagined that one day we would work in the film industry, but we were passionate about watching every movie released.”
He fondly remembered how they used to manage with just five rupees, which covered the cost of two tickets and snacks like popcorn during the intermission. Reflecting on those days, Dil Raju expressed pride in organizing the 58th movie event of their banner in the same town where he grew up. He also acknowledged the support of numerous directors and actors throughout their journey, which helped them reach their current position in the film industry.
