Former PM Manmohan Singh Hospitalized in Delhi AIIMS Emergency Department
Manmohan Singh served as the Prime Minister of India for a decade from 2004 to 2014 under the Congress-led UPA government. Earlier, he was the Finance Minister during the tenure of PV Narasimha Rao in 1991-92, a period marked by groundbreaking economic reforms in the country.
Born in 1932 in Gah, a region in present-day Pakistan before the Partition, Manmohan Singh is credited as the chief architect of India’s liberalization, privatization, and globalization (LPG) reforms during the Narasimha Rao administration.
