Jeevita Rajasekhar defends ban on cuss words in Telugu movies
Hyderabad, Feb 27, 2015: Central Film Censor Board member Jeevita Rajasekhar has defended the ban imposed on using 30 cuss words in Telugu movies.
In an interview to a national daily, Jeevita Rajasekhar said there is no point in producers objecting to the ban on using the cuss words such as Nayala, Donga Nayala, Musti Nayala, Chillara Nayala, VP, Nee Amma, Amma Nee Amma, Chetta Nakodaka, Gadida Kodaka, Bokka, Bongu and some others.
The Censor Board has recently banned using the cuss words in Telugu movies and several producers have objected to the ban.
These are all abusive and have double meaning in nature, Jeevita said, adding no educated person would use these cuss words in daily life.
"I don't know why the producers have turned it into a controversy. In fact, most of the item songs in Telugu have lot of vulgar words and children are found singing these songs without realising their meaning. This is not good for children and the future of the society," she said.
