Jaitley: AP will get Rs.22,113 Cr in next 5 years
New Delhi, Feb 24, 2015:Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley has on Tuesday announced that Centre would allot Rs.22,113 Cr for AP in the next five years toward meeting its revenue gap.
Addressing a press conference here after Parliament adopted the 14th Finance Commission recommendations, he said the recommendations will come into force from April 1.
On the whole, 11 states are facing the revenue deficit to the tune of Rs.1.91 lakh Cr and the Centre would do its best to help the states, he disclosed.
Jaitely said Centre has also decided to grant additional funds to revenue-deficit villages in some states.
As per the 14th Finance Commisison's recommendations, Telangana will have a surplus revenue of Rs.818 Cr for the year 2015-16.
