Jagan Mohan Reddy's Intriguing Remarks on Andhra Pradesh Election Results

Former Chief Minister and YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy made intriguing remarks about the Andhra Pradesh Assembly election results. He commented that while there was no visible anti-incumbency sentiment against the government before the elections, the results turned out differently. He disclosed that a survey was conducted statewide before and after the polling, with 1.7 million samples taken. On Tuesday, Jagan met with the YSRCP candidates who lost in the elections at his camp office. During this meeting, he discussed the election results with them.

YS Jagan noted that Telugu Desam Party (TDP) leaders are harassing YSRCP workers and expressed concern that the harassment might increase. He assured the party leaders that he would visit and comfort the affected workers, providing them with support. Jagan directed the leaders to stand united as a team at the district level to confront the attacks on party workers and to support and protect them. He also pointed out that the party secured 40% of the votes in the elections and advised all leaders to remain among the people.

Several senior leaders met Jagan at his camp office on Tuesday. These included Dharmana Prasada Rao, Dharmana Krishna Das, Mazji Srinivas, Kottu Satyanarayana, Ananta Venkata Rami Reddy, Gangula Prabhakar Reddy, Intiyaz, Bijendra Reddy, Jakkampudi Raja, Anna Rambabu, Rapaka Varaprasad, and Tellam Balraju, along with MLC Varudu Kalyani and others. During the meeting, many leaders shared their opinions with Jagan. Dharmana Prasada Rao questioned how Chandrababu Naidu would fulfill the promises he made, noting that even funding the schemes implemented during the YSRCP regime was challenging, and wondered how more ambitious schemes could be funded by Naidu.
