CM Jagan's Foreign Tour Questioned Amidst Law and Order Crisis: JD Lakshminarayana

Following the elections in Andhra Pradesh, severe violent incidents have occurred, and just two days ago, CM Jagan went on a foreign tour. Former CBI JD and Jai Bharat National Party President VV Lakshminarayana responded to this situation. He opined that maintaining law and order in the state is the responsibility of the Chief Minister and his cabinet, and it is inappropriate for the Chief Minister to go on a foreign tour under such circumstances.
"Many incidents have occurred right after the elections in Andhra Pradesh. In places like Narasaraopet, Tadipatri, Chandragiri, and several others, parties are attacking each other, which is condemnable. Has any party advised its cadre to file complaints with the Election Commission instead of participating in such incidents? Has any party suspended anyone so far?
The Chief Minister also went on a foreign tour. When such incidents are happening in the state, it is necessary for the Chief Minister to stay here and review the situation. The Election Commission conducts the elections, but maintaining law and order is the responsibility of the Chief Minister and his cabinet.
Section 144 is only on paper, and it is not being implemented properly anywhere. Even on the polling day, groups tried to influence voters. It does not seem that significant actions have been taken against such individuals.
The SIT should also complete the investigation quickly and submit the report to the EC. Appropriate actions should be taken against those responsible, irrespective of their party. Only then will people believe that the law is functioning in the state. A clear message that everyone is equal before the law should be sent," said Lakshminarayana.
