KCR Criticizes Revanth Reddy's Language at Karimnagar Rally

BRS Chief and former Chief Minister KCR questioned the appropriateness of the language used by the current Chief Minister, Revanth Reddy, asking if it befits a person in such a high office. Speaking at a public rally organized by BRS in Karimnagar, a city known for its resistance movements, KCR recalled the struggles for the statehood of Telangana. He highlighted how, during those times, even mentioning 'Telangana' in the assembly was restricted. KCR emphasized his dedication to the cause by resigning from the position of a Union Minister to fight for Telangana's statehood.

He criticized the Congress party for deceiving the public with 420 promises in the previous assembly elections and mentioned a minister's disrespectful remark about 'Rythu Bandhu,' a farmers' assistance scheme. KCR expressed his dismay over the Chief Minister's threats to resort to violence over demands for water and electricity, questioning if such language was appropriate for a Chief Minister.

KCR defended his record, stating that during his ten years as Chief Minister, he never resorted to such harsh language except during the movement for Telangana's statehood. He urged the current government to strive to do better than his administration instead of resorting to threats. He took pride in providing 24-hour electricity and water supply during his term, which significantly improved agriculture in the state. However, he lamented the current state of crops drying up in March.

Urging the people to vote wisely in the upcoming parliamentary elections, KCR reminded them of the importance of their vote and criticized the opposition for not delivering on their promises. He highlighted the achievements of his government, like the Kaleshwaram project and the cessation of weaver suicides, asserting the strength of BRS as the strength of Telangana.

KCR concluded by addressing the role of the police in politics and reaffirmed his commitment to fulfilling promises, like providing a tap connection to every household, and declared that BRS would endure as long as the earth and sky exist, dismissing channels that predicted the party's demise after losing assembly elections.
