Drunk driving: Film writer Machha Ravi's driving licence cancelled

Hyderabad, Jan 31: Drunk driving is a serious offence in Telangana, especially in Hyderabad. Traffic police are not sparing repeat offenders, however big they may be. In one such instance that happened on Friday and came to light on Saturday, Hyderabad traffic police had cancelled the driving licence of Telugu film writer Machha Ravi, also known as BV Subrahmanyam, for being involved in drunk driving on two different occasions during surprise checks. Additional Commissioner of Police (Traffic) Jitender confirmed that the state's Department of Transport had issued an order cancelling Ravi's driving licence. Similarly, DoT also cancelled the driving licence of entrepreneur Rithis Singh, who was caught for committing similar offence by the traffic police. Rithis Singh's licence was suspended for six months.
