TS to build new Secretariat at Erragadda in 1 year

Hyderabad, Jan 31: After a seven-hour-long meeting, the Telangana Cabinet is reported to have decided to relocate the state secretariat to the Chest Hospital at Erragadda. The Cabinet is reported to have also allocate Rs 150 crore for the construction of the new Secretariat complex. Announcing this to the media persons, Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao is reported to have said the existing Secretariat buildings are having dangerous vastu defects that could cause evil and hinder the state's growth prospects. According to the chief minister, the Chest Hospital at Erragadda needs to be relocated as it is now located in a polluted zone. Confirming that the Chest Hospital will be shifted to the old TB Sanitarium at Vikarabad, the chief minister said medical staff including doctors will be adjusted from hospitals in Hyderabad. Stating the all government offices will be located at the new Secretariat, Chandrasekhar Rao said it will be an integrated complex, which will be completed in a year. He said he already asked officers to prepare the designs.
