AP Higher Education Council's accounts frozen on TS request

Hyderabad, Jan 30, 2015: Even as AP and Telangana continue to spar over Krishna River water distribution, a new controversy has further hit the two states taking their relations to their lowest ebb. The Telangana Government has directed the SBH management to freeze the bank accounts of AP Higher Education Council immediately. Following the direction, the SBH officials have on Friday frozen the accounts of AP Higher Education Council which has deposits to the tune of Rs. 25 Cr .The deposits were lying with the Santinagar branch of the SBH here. After the development, the AP Higher Educational Council has announced it will approach the High Court of Judicature tomorrow challenging the decision of the SBH management and the directions given to it by Telangana Government.
